A card isn’t recognised. Hold the card 10–15 cm from the camera, flat and well lit, with the collector number in view (bottom of the card). Tap the picture to focus, or use the torch in dim rooms. You can always add a card from the collection or by typing its number.
The scanner offers several sets. Some cards share a name and number across sets. Pick the one whose set symbol matches your card.
Prices look different from the shop. Prices are market guides from TCGplayer (USD) and Cardmarket (EUR), updated at most once a day. When the two markets disagree a lot, P-Dex shows a range.
How do I move my collection to a new phone? If both phones use the same Apple Account with iCloud on, the collection follows you on its own. You can also open ⚙ OPTIONS → Export collection in the dex, save the file to iCloud Drive, and use ⚙ OPTIONS → Restore from file on the new phone.
Is P-Dex free? Yes, for up to 150 different cards (extra copies don’t count). A single, optional purchase unlocks an unlimited collection. Scanning, price checks, search and the widget are always free. There will never be a subscription or ads.
I bought the unlimited collection on another iPhone. Open ⚙ OPTIONS → Unlimited collection → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
